Alice Krych

Alice Krych, 89 of St. Joseph passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.  A private service will be held at a later date with burial at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to St. John- St. Bernard Parish. Those wishing to share a memory of Alice online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com  Alice was born March 29, 1925 in Chicago, IL to George and Angeline (Piontkowski) Huddy. She graduated from Kelly High School in Chicago. On July 28, 1945 she married Bernard “Ben” Krych in Chicago. Alice worked at Wilson Bakery in St. Joseph. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time at their cottage on Lake of the Woods in Decatur, MI. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family.  Alice is survived by her daughters Karen (Edward) Boston, Linda Smith, and Cathy Mahler; six grandchildren Steven and David Boston, Sarah (Roman) Speron, Allison (Ted) Ducey, Andrew (Beth) Mahler,  Jenifer Mahler; five great grandchildren Lauren Boston, Abigail, Anna, Emily Speron, and Kate Ducey. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Beverly Reksnis.
