Margaret Fenrick, 93, of St. Joseph passed away Monday, October 20, 2014 at Pine Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation in Stevensville.
Celebration of Life Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday at Baroda Church of God-Lakeshore Campus, 5020 Cleveland Ave., Stevensville, with Rev. Robert Confer officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Margaret was born January 16, 1921 in Benton Harbor to Karl & Dorothy (Keswick) Kluck. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1939. Margaret was employed by Atty. Carl Schultz and then at Leco Corp. as one of their first employees. After raising her family, Margaret returned to the work force at Michigan Gas Utilities and later at State of Michigan Social Services in Benton Harbor, retiring in 1984. She was a long-time member of First Church of God in St. Joseph where she was active in and a life-member of the Women’s Missionary Society. In more recent years she attended the Baroda Church of God Lakeshore Campus with her son. She enjoyed music, especially old hymns and the St. Joseph Band Shell concerts on Sunday afternoons, crocheting, word search puzzles, card games and watching game shows and old movies on TV.
Margaret is survived by her children-Fred (Cathie) Fenrick, Art (Sharon) Fenrick, both of St. Joseph, Carol (Paul) Gansberger of Jenison, MI, James (Laurie) Fenrick of Yukon, OK, Mary Freeman of Avon, IN; twenty grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Dave Fenrick in 1995, her son-in-law James Freeman in 2012, her sister Carolyn Tsai, her brother Richard Kluck, and her former husband Arthur Fenrick in 1982.
