Oskar Albert Noll, 95, of Lincoln Township, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at his home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 24, 2014 at St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 671 Mcallister Ave., Benton Harbor, officiated by Rev. Richard Hennig. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. Oskar was born to Gottleib and Maria Noll in Sintauten, Lithuania on April 6, 1919. He married his wife Herta (Geruschkat) on August, 28, 1948 in Germany and came to the United States on May 16, 1952. Oskar worked as a Machinist at Benton Harbor Mallable for 25 years and retired from Gast Manufacturing after 10 years of work. Oskar was one of the original members of the St. Joseph Kickers club for over the past 60 years. He was always a hard worker and had a true passion for gardening.
Oskar is survived by his wife; children: Werner “Van” (Candace Strong) Noll of Kalamazoo, MI, Brigitte (David) Scheffler of Sodus Township, MI, and Thomas (Susan) Noll of Bridgman, MI; Grandchildren: David “Lonnie” (Monica) Scheffler, Jason (Mandy) Scheffler, Lori (Chris) Holder, Katie (Jeff) Oney, Corey Scheffler, and Kyle Noll. Oskar is also survived by his great-grandchildren: Von Scheffler, Mollie Scheffler, Emily Holder, Lon Maxwell Scheffler, Larson Gutierrez, Chloe Gutierrez, Kurtis Scheffler, Blake Scheffler, Colin Oney, and Makenzie Oney.
Oskar is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Waldemar Noll, Gustav Noll, Arthur Noll, and Willie Noll; sisters: Ericka Deaglan and Elviria “Ellie” Joachim.
