Andrew Judson Baldwin

Andrew Judson Baldwin III, 71, of Benton Harbor passed away Thursday October 30th, 2014 after a courageous three-year battle with Pulmonary Disease.   A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am Monday, November 3, 2014 at Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ, 3001 Veronica Drive, St. Joseph with Rev. Eric Thorsen.   Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph at a later date.  Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 2nd at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph.  Memorials may be made to Sarrett Nature Center or Zion Evangelical Church.  Those wishing to share a memory of Andrew online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com   Andy was born December 2, 1942 in Easton, Pennsylvania to Andrew Judson Jr. & Hazel B. (Davies) Baldwin.  Andy served in the Air Force, married and was blessed with three children.  He later married Brenda and they were together for 42 years.  He was the former owner and operator of Spartan Wood Products in Coloma.  Andy had a big personality and a sarcastic sense of humor, and loved to tell jokes.  He spent many mornings and luncheons with his friends and golfing buddies talking about Notre Dame and Chicago Bears football.  Andy loved books, had a wonderful sense of adventure and traveled extensively with his father, wife, and grandchildren.  He loved fishing and golfing and served as President of Point O’ Woods Country Club for several years.  Most of all, Andy made time every single day for his beloved children, grandchildren, and extended family.   Andrew is survived by his wife, Brenda Baldwin; son Jeffrey (Trisha) Baldwin of Tomball, TX; daughters Kelleye (Michael) Dimmick of Huntsville, TX, Kimberly Baldwin of Houston, TX and Lorie (James) Reits of St. Joseph; eight grandchildren – Justin, Andrew, Ashleye, Sarah, Rebecca, Tanner, Kaylee and Abigail; three great-grandchildren; brothers Tim (Jean) Baldwin of Dillsburg, PA and Chris Baldwin of Coloma, MI; Sister Susanne (Mark) Tucker of Green Lane, PA.
