Delores Joanne Zabel

Delores Joanne Zabel, 72, of Baroda, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, Michigan. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI with Pastor David Londot, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow at Ruggles Cemetery in Baroda. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel. Delores was born September 11, 1942 to Lawrence and Wanda (Scott) Graber in Detroit, MI. She graduated from Barryton High School in 1961. On June 27, 1981 Delores married Hans J. Zabel in Scottville, MI. Delores was a homemaker, dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved the outdoors whether she was hunting, fishing, camping, gardening or mowing the yard. Being outside made her happy. Delores is survived by her husband, Hans Zabel; daughters, Lorie (Bruce) Pinnell and Lorna (Mike) O’Donnell; sons, Lonnie (Linda) Marrison and Loren (Rosie) Marrison; grandchildren, Larry Marrison, Kimberly Marrison, James (Cynthia) Marrison, Sherry (Trevor) Bugg, Sara Pinnell, Kerry Pinnell, Kelsey Pinnell, Stephan Marrison, Andrew (Crystal) Marrison and Jennifer O’Donnell; step-grandchild, Parker (Kathryn) Pinnell; great-grandchildren, Izabella Pinnell, Julian Harmon, Gabe Marrison, Ashton Finch and Adriana Avila. Delores was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Larry Dewayne Graber.
