Martha's Obituary

Martha Louise Fege, 99, of St. Joseph, passed away, Sunday, July 27, 2014 at West Woods of Bridgman. A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Court & Market St., St. Joseph, with Rev. Thomas Batsky officiating.  Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph.  Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Martha was born October 17, 1914 in Eau Claire, Michigan to Martin & Rosalia “Rose” (Reinhardt) Bodner.  In her early adult life, she worked at Cooper Wells and Whirlpool Corp.  On November 30, 1940 she married Henry Carl Fege in St. Joseph.  Martha was a friend to all in her neighborhood and community, always willing to help others, and an infectious spirit to live life to the fullest affecting everyone she touched.  She cherished the time spent with her family. Martha is survived by her sons-Arnold (Patricia) Fege of Annandale, VA, David (Anna) Fege of San Diego, CA, Marshall Dean (Sandy Forrest) Fege of Farmington Hills, MI; her granddaughter Bronwyn “Broni” Fege; two great-grandchildren Ethan Fege & Landyn Stasker; her brother Arthur (Priscilla) Demske of Eau Claire; and her niece Kim (LeRoy) Witucki of Granger, IN;  she was preceded in death by her husband Henry on September 8, 2007.
