Donald Neil Jones

Donald N. Jones 78, of Bridgman, Michigan, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014 at his home.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:20 A.M. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Fairplain Presbyterian Church, 210 W. Napier Ave., Benton Harbor Michigan with Rev. LaVerne Davenport officiating. Don was born September 10, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to Samuel & Christina (McKinnon) Jones.  In 1985 he married the former Vivian H. Thomas in LaGrange, Ill.  During his career in commercial real estate development (developing major enclosed shopping malls); he worked with the Taubman Corporation among others, and retired as Vice President for the Richard E Jacobs Group of ClevelandOhio. Don is survived by his wife Vivian; his children-Leslie Corinne Jones of Oakland, CA, Amy Jones-Jordan of Avon Lake, OH, Scott Jones of Alameda, CA; his step-children-Dr. Brian Sucharetza of South Bend, IN & Marla (Sean) Cross of Westport, CT; his grandchildren-Joshua Jones, Alexandria Jordan, Elena, Alexa & Aidan Sucharetza, Camille, Ethan & Raquel Cross; and his brother Roy M. “Bud” Jones of Dearborn Hts, MI., as well as many nephews and nieces.
