Craig Andrew Caulpetzer

Craig Andrew Caulpetzer, 75, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away August 1, 2014 in Knoxville, TN. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will take place at a later date at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home. Those wishing to share a memory of Craig online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Craig was born on May 19, 1939 in St. Joseph, MI to Hazen & Myrtle (Rose) Caulpetzer. He graduated from Berrien Springs High School and attended Western Michigan University. Craig married Judith Dasse on May 21, 1960 at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Joseph. He worked as an Engineer at Clark Equipment in Benton Harbor, MI, and then as a Sales Engineer at Green Manufacturing in Knoxville, TN, for many years. Craig loved spending time with his family and friends in Michigan and Tennessee. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, was an avid golfer and loved football. In fact, he will be remembered for the way his blood changed from Michigan “Big Blue” to Tennessee “Big Orange”. Craig leaves his loving wife of 54 years, Judy; daughter, Laura (Eric) Wohler of St. Joseph, MI; son, Christopher (Nancy) Caulpetzer of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Katie Phillips (Adam), Kristen Caulpetzer; great-grandchild, Keagan Phillips all of Knoxville, TN; brother Robert Caulpetzer of Berrien Springs; and sister Debbie (Terry) McGath of  Aurora, IL. Craig is preceded in death by his parents and brother Donald “Larry” Caulpetzer.
