Arnold Graber

Arnold Graber, 82, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.   A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Stevensville United Methodist Church, 5506 Ridge Rd., Stevensville, with Pastor Gordon Barry officiating. Friends may visit from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service at the church. Memorials may be made to Stevensville United Methodist Church. Those wishing to share a memory of Arnold online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.   Arnold was born March 21, 1932 in Benton Harbor to Paul & Amelia (Zotsman) Graber. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1950. On May 17, 1958 he wed Jean Elson at the First Church of God in St. Joseph. Arnold began his career in 1955 as a sales representative for Indiana Michigan Power and retired as a Supervisor in 1994 after 37 years with the company. He was a member of Stevensville United Methodist Church and the Elks club in St. Joe/Benton Harbor. Arnold enjoyed golfing, cooking, gardening and tending to his yard. He was also an avid Cubs and U of M fan.  In the winter’s, he enjoyed his trips to Florida with his wife, Jean.   Arnold is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Jean Graber of St. Joseph; daughter, Cheri Kitron of St. Joseph; grandson Ryan Kitron; brother, Ed (Betty) Graber of Mesa, AZ; and sister, Helen (Lynn) Hill of Grand Rapids; and numerous nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Walter Graber.
