Helen B. Richmond

Helen B. Richmond, 93, of St. Joseph, MI passed away on Sat., June 14, 2014 in her home. Arrangements have been entrusted with Starks & Menchinger Chapel in St. Jospeh.   Helen was born on Jan. 11, 1921 in Watervliet, MI to John and Louise (Houser) Lottridge. She married Russell Richmond on Dec. 22, 1940 in Benton Harbor, MI; he preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 1991. Helen retired from Whirlpool in 1985 after 27 years as a market analyst. Her pride and joy was taking care of and loving her family.   She is survived by her three children – Carol (Leon) Ryan of Schaumburg, IL, Janet (David) Mack of St. Joseph, MI, and Lance Richmond of St. Joseph; three grandchildren – Nathan and Sean Ryan, and Justin Mack; and five great grandchildren – Ashley, Brandon, Lauren and Will Ryan, and Harper Mack. Helen is preceded in death by her parents-John and Louise, her husband-Russell, brothers-Duff, Harold and Robert Lottridge, and sister-Hannah Brown. The family sends special thanks to Caregivers Etc. – Samantha Archer and her staff of loving angels.   Helen’s Celebration of Life service will be held on Sat., August 9, 11:30AM, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI .
