Helen's Obituary
Helen (Costello) Dwyer, 85, of St. Joseph, passed away at her home on Sat. May 3, 2014. Arrangements have been entrusted with Starks Family Funeral Homes – Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI.
Helen was born on Dec. 18, 1928 in Rochester, NY to Herbert and Bridgette (Hickey) Costello. On May 16, 1953 in Auburn, NY she married Richard Thomas Dwyer; he preceded her in death in Jan. 1997.
Helen is survived by her daughter – Julie (Patrick) Kessler of Stevensville, MI; five grandchildren – Meghan, Joseph, Hannah, Sarah and Timothy Kessler. She is preceded in death by her parents-Herbert and Bridgette Costello, her husband-Richard, and two sisters-Margaret Ladd and Elizabeth Graeve.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 10:00am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Final resting place will be in Auburn, NY. Visitation is on Tuesday, May 6 from 5:00-7:00pm at Starks & Menchinger Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
