Patsy Ann Post

Patsy Bertog Post, age 72, of Benton Harbor, Michigan, passed away May 29, at Orchard Grove Extended Care in Benton Harbor, Michigan. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, June 3 at 11:30 A.M. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Tony Slagle officiating. Friends may visit on Monday from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Harrison Cemetery, Decatur, MI.  Memorials may be made to The Humane Society of SW Michigan. Those wishing to share a memory of Patsy online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com     Patsy was born June 3, 1941 in St. Joseph to Herbert Bertog and Nettie (Cubitt) Heaton. She was employed at Modern Plastics as a security guard and later as a caregiver at the House of David. Patsy enjoyed crocheting as well as tending her vegetable garden and canning. Patsy also liked hunting and fishing; but most of all she loved being with her family and friends.   Patsy is survived by her children; Robin L. Post-Hopkins of Manchester, MI, Robert (Tammy Lynn) Post Jr., of South Bend, Tammy Lynn Post of Benton Harbor, and Duke Wayne (Crystal White) Post of Sodus; grandchildren Jeremy (Annette) Hopkins, April Hopkins, Ashtyn Post, Austin Post, Dylan Post, Savannah Post, and Samantha Post; brothers Robert Bertog of Cadillac, MI and Richard (Lorna) Bertog, Sr. of Benton Harbor.   Patsy was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter; Roxie Ann Post in 1964.
