Glenna Lee Wolshlager

Glenna L. Wolshlager, 70, of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Benton Harbor, MI passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 at John’s Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 16, 2014 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph, MI with Pastor Doral Jackson officiating. Burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery in Bridgman. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the funeral home. Glenna was born December 19, 1943 in Benton Harbor, MI to Homer T. & Julianne (Closson) Jones. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1961. On July 27, 1989 she wed Robert Lee Wolshlager. She was the owner and operator of several restaurants including the Corner Café in Eau Claire, the Frosty Boy in Watervilet and the Waffle House in Lawrence and Watervilet. Glenna was very active in planning the Benton Harbor High School reunions. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, sewing, ceramics and especially spending time with her family and friends and enjoying her winter home in Matlacha Isles, FL. She is survived by her children Ronald (Bella) Wolshlager of Winchester, TN; Tami Wolshlager of Morristown, TN; Robert (Joye) Wolshlager of Barberton, OH; Barbara Kirby of Benton Harbor and Julie (Terry) Carlson of Benton Harbor; 11 grandchilren; 2 great grandchildren; sister Zelma (Roger) Spurgeon of Chestertown, MD; several nieces and nephews; and her significant other of  years John Rolfes of Chestertown, MD. She was preceded in death by her parents,  loving husband Robert on October 5, 2008, her brother John Gibson and son-in-law David Kirby.
