Harold C. Hansen, 96, of Benton Harbor, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Pine Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Stevensville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:30 A.M. Monday, April 7, 2014 at St. John Catholic Church, 600 Columbus Ave., Benton Harbor, with Father William Jacobs, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Benton Harbor. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M., Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Berrien County Right to Life or Michigan Right to Life. He graduated from St. John Catholic School. Harold worked for Heath, later purchased by Zenith, as a photographer. He was very involved in the community serving as the Vice President of Berrien County Right to Life, as Parliamentarian on the Benton Harbor Citizens Advisory Board, as a member of Twin City Opportunities and organizing Block Clubs throughout Benton Harbor. Harold is survived by his children, Judy (Donald) Marshall of St. Joseph, Stephen (Deborah) Hansen of Stevensville, Richard (Patti Jo) Hansen of Grand Rapids, Patricia (James) Uebler of Ft. Wayne, IN, and James Hansen of Benton Harbor; grandchildren, Heather (Ryan) Gaul, Holly (Sean) Soulard, Jennifer (John) Kauffman, Teresa Hansen, Stephanie (Caleb) Miracle, Jason Marshall, Shannon (Shawn) Dockham, Eric Marshall, Nicholas Uebler, Kristin (Tony) Sliger, and Kelly Uebler; nineteen great grandchildren; and sister, Frances Seeley. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy (Lindemann) Hansen; siblings Frank, Joe, Pete, and Elizabeth Walsh; and grandson, Brian.
