Phyllis's Obituary

Phyllis R. Lane, 65, of Dowagiac, formerly of Sodus and Benton Harbor, passed away, Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Thursday May 8, 2014 at Red Arrow General Baptist Church, 3207 E. Euclid Ave., Benton Harbor.  Burial will take place at a later date at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Sodus.  Memorial donations may be made to Hospice at Home or Lory’s Place.  Those wishing to sign Phyllis’ Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.  Phyllis was born March 9, 1949 in Bolivar, Tennessee to Thomas & Ruby (Vales) Stack.  She was formerly employed at the White Rose Café in Benton Harbor.  Phyllis was a generous & kind-hearted lady, and enjoyed dancing, playing practical jokes and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Phyllis is survived by her children-Gina (Tim) Senter of Ligonier, Indiana, Tom “T” (Wendy) Lane of Nappanee, Indiana; five grandchildren-Abrahm, Veronica, Hunter, Brendan, Savannah; three great-grandchildren-Bryson, Derek, & Bayne; and numerous nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband “Sonny” Comer in February 1970, her daughter Veronica Comer in May 1977, and by brother & sisters-Nona Faye Rogers, Thomas Roscoe Stack, Leslie Eugena Meyers & Cathrine Lee Aquirre.
