Catherine “Kay” L. Patrick, 90, of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd. with Major Mike McKee officiating. Burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army. Catherine was born on October 9, 1923 in Benton Harbor, MI to Urbin L. & Samantha E. (Joines) Johnson. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1941. On April 23, 1988 she married Raymond Patrick in Benton Harbor. Catherine worked as a bookkeeper for Anderson Building Materials in St. Joseph for 20 plus years before retiring. She was a very active member in the Salvation Army where she volunteered in many capacitates. Catherine was very musical and played various instruments, particularly the organ and piano at her church for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed swimming and especially traveling. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her nephews David (Bonnie) Johnson of St. Joseph, Michael (Mary) Johnson of Benton Harbor and Jeffrey (Joan) Johnson of Buchanan and several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond on November 19, 2002, her brothers Urbin Johnson and David Johnson, and nephews Terry Johnson, William “Bill” Johnson and Dale Johnson.
