Carrie's Obituary

Carrie Rose Janco, 82, formerly of St. Joseph, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, March 9, 2014 in Valrico, Florida. Carrie was born July 24, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to Cade & Marguerite (Blythe) Armstrong.  The family moved to South Haven and it was there that she met and married her husband Stanley Janco, and they later moved to St. Joseph.  They were long-time St. Joseph residents before they retired to Florida in 1987.  Together they enjoyed many activities and were members of the American Legion in Valrico.  Carrie was talented in music, art and cooking.  She created many beautiful projects and made fabulous dinners.  She shared her love of life through her generosity and grand sense of humor.  Carrie dispensed sage advice through her engaging stories and will be remembered for her beautiful caring spirit. Carrie is survived by her children-Patricia (Paul) Christopher of Sawyer, MI, Stan (Jane) Janco of Kalamazoo, MI, Mary (Kevin) Breach of San Diego, CA and David (Daniella) Janco of Naples, Italy; grandchildren-Adam Janco, Steven Christopher, Michael Christopher, Nathan Christopher, and Hayley Janco; two sisters-in-law-Helen Nuccio of St. Petersburg, FL and Dorothy Fountain of South Haven, MI; and her beloved nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her sister Marguerite Davis and her husband Stanley Janco.
