Marilyn's Obituary
On Tuesday evening the Lord opened his gates and Marilyn J. Curtis of St. Joseph, MI entered, meeting with her Dad and Mom, Lawrence and Helen (Enders) Curtis, her sisters Karol and Karen and her brother-in-law Jim Perry, along with many friends and relatives.
Per Marilyn’s request, cremation has taken place and a private family service will follow at a later date. Starks and Menchinger Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of St. Joseph or to the Humane Society of Benton harbor, MI.
Marilyn worked in accounting at Whirlpool Corporation for 43 years. She was a member of the Old Timer’s Group, the Red Hat’s Club, Golden Eagles and the Berrien County Parkinson’s Group.
Marilyn is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Jim and Judy Curtis of Bitely, MI and their children Rick of South Haven, Tamra of Ocala, FL, Paul and Mark of Stevensville, Melissa of Benton Township and Melissa’s two sons, Andrew of Maryland and Dustin of Stevensville. She is also survived by her sister Janice Hicks of St. Joseph and her children Laurie and Bob Bucholtz of St. Joseph, Tony Hicks and Sally Bommer and their children Jocellyn and Madeline of Benton Harbor and Kevin and Andrew Hicks both of Coloma. She is also survived by special friends Beth Remington, Valerie Rimkus and Sharon Jones as well as many other friends and relatives including her special buddy Skittles, her dog of 14 years.
