Dell's Obituary
Dell K. Gaut, 87, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 3:00-5:00 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with a dinner immediately following in the Starks & Menchinger Chapel Community Room. Memorial donations may be made to Lincoln Senior Center-Bridge Club or Berrien County Humane Society in memory of Dell. Dell was born September 21, 1926 in Grand Rapids to Harry & Mildred (Seager) Gaut. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and the Korean War. Dell and his wife Kathleen owned and operated Senior Life Manor in Baroda for 11 yrs. He was an active member of the Lincoln Senior Center Bridge Club and also enjoyed singing in the Lakeland Choral Society.
Dell is survived by his children; Dale(Jackie)Gaut of Hudsonville, Mardell Packard of Green Bay, WI, Susan(Robert)VanderVliet of Mineral, VA, Thomas(Rhonda)Rabbers of St. Joseph, James(Mary)Rabbers of Stevensville, Jodi Rabbers of Arlington, TX and Daniel(Diana)Rabbers of Peoria, AZ; one sister Darlene and numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen in 2008.
