Cheryl Philyaw, 50, of Stevensville, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Silverbrook Manor in Niles, MI. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday January 23, 2014, at Baroda Church of God, 5020 Cleveland Ave., Stevensville, with the Rev. Kendall Holder officiating. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Starlight Children’s Foundation or the Ronald MacDonald House. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1981. Cheryl was a manager at PriMart for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, reading, and painting bird houses. Cheryl is survived by her parents Gene & Harriet Collier of Stevensville; daughter Megan (Dominick) Valenti of Benton Harbor; son Ian Philyaw of Stevensville; grandchildren Eli & Giovanni Valenti of Benton Harbor; brother Robby Collier of Stevensville; and significant other Teddy Lee of Stevensville; Cheryl was preceded in death by her son Dustin Green and grandparents Harry & Frances Blaisdell.
