Gertrud Jung

Gertrud Jung, 79, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Rev. Jonathan Kruschel officiating. Friends may visit with the family Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Gertrud was born September 26, 1934 in Stuhm, W. Prussia, Germany, to Johanes & Veronica (Kolch) Duschner. On June 11, 1958, she married Alwin Jung in Germany. Gertrud loved spending time with her family and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Gertrud is survived by her husband Alwin Jung; son Reinhold Jung of Atlanta, GA; two daughters Brigitte (Stephen) Baydowicz of Tucson, AZ and Caroline Jung of St. Joseph; two grandchildren Michael (Jessica) Baydowicz and Morgen Baydowicz; four great grandchildren Audrey, Arianna, Ashlyn and Avalone Baydowicz; two sisters Elisabeth Lindemann and Margaret Severloh both of Germany; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gertrud was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Hans Duschner and Clemons Duschner and one sister Hedwig Krause.
