Charles Michael “Mike” Rondelli, 65, of St. Joseph passed away Thursday, October 31, 2013 at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 18, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 220 Church St., St. Joseph, with Father James Morris officiating. Friends may visit from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M., Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph, with a Rosary recited at 5:00 P.M. Mike was born July 18, 1948 in St. Joseph, to J. Louis & Mary (Curran) Rondelli. He was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School in 1966. He graduated from Michigan State University where he received duel MBAs in Physical Distribution and Marketing Research. Mike completed research for the well-known Father of Logistics, Donald Bowersox. He earned his license to be an ICC practitioner and argue transportation issues before the US Supreme Court. On December 30, 1972 he married Theresa Bazan in St. Joseph. Mike was active in local politics and served on the Berrien County Republican Executive Committee. In his youth Mike enjoyed playing football and baseball, but turned to golf in his later years. He served as Golf Chairman for Berrien Hills Country Club for two terms. He retired in 2009 from Lane Automotive, where he had worked as logistics manger for 15 years. Mike was an avid reader and enjoyed reading Star Trek science fiction, Tom Clancy and Robert Ludlum novels, and watching NCIS. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Theresa Rondelli of St. Joseph, and daughter, Dr. Catherine Rondelli (Robert Bell) of Galveston, TX; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Dale (Joyce) DeLong of Benton Harbor; Myall (Elizabeth) Hawkins of Houston, TX; Larry (Victoria) Lerke of Stevensville; John (Mary) Spear of VA Beach, VA; Thomas (Paula) Bazan and Nicholas (Brenda) Bazan of Houston, TX; and Emanuella “Mandy” Rondelli of Belleville, NJ; Uncles and Aunts; Richard (Lettie) Curran of Georgetown, TX; William (Dolores) Frantz of St. Joseph; Michael (Gloria) Bazan of Shelbyville, KY; Joseph (Mary) Gonzales of Brownsville, TX; Kenneth Johnson and Richard Johnson of St. Joseph; and Mildred Buffalo of Clear Lake Oaks, CA; Nephews and Nieces; Michael Louis Rondelli of San Diego, CA; Nicolas DeLong of Chicago, Il; Sabrina (Michael) Poskey of Grand Rapids; Kymberly (Armondo) Hernandez of Benton Harbor; Walker Hawkins of NY, NY; Greer Hawkins of Bejing, China; Sarah Spear of NY, NY; John (Ashley) Spear of Nashville, TN; Rachael Bazan of NY, NY; and Nicolas Bazan of Houston, TX; and several cousins throughout the country. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bert Louis Rondelli.
