Elsie's Obituary

Elsie Klug, 87, of Watervliet, MI went to be with our Heavenly Father Saturday, August 31, 2013. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 404 E. Glenlord Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Noah Headrick officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friend may visit from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Those wishing to share a memory of Elsie online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Elsie was born January 22, 1926 in Coloma, MI to John & Lydia (Abraham) Wiatrowsky. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1943. On June 5, 1948 she married Robert Klug in Coloma, MI. She will be long remembered as a giving person who generously gave of her time and attention to friends and family. She was very involved in, and received much joy from, her weekly neighborhood Bible Study and her weekly Skipbo game. She always looked forward to the monthly golf league luncheon. Elsie had friends too numerous to count. She will be missed by all. She is survived by her sons Daniel (Margo) Klug of Hartford, MI and John (Audrey) Klug of South Lyon, MI; daughters Linda (Craig) Voorman of Hudson, OH, Karen (John) Barnes of Gillette, WY, and Susan (Bradley) Harding of Mishawaka, IN; 14 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Gertrude Casselman.
