Frederick H. Jung

Frederick H. Jung Jr, 86, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Jordan’s Life Care Center in Bridgman. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2013 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph with Pastor Jonathon Kruschel officiating. Final resting place will be Lincoln Twp. Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan or the Berrien County Historical Society. He was a graduate of Stevensville High School, going on to complete his Bachelor’s of Science at Michigan State University. On October 10, 1953 he wed Roberta ‘Bobbe’ Kramer in New York City. Frederick’s father started Jung Real Estate & Insurance in 1934 in Stevensville; Fred followed his passion and took over the family business. He was a member of Lakeshore Rotary, Lions Club, Heritage Society, South Shore Racquet Club, one of the first twenty members of the Economics Club and a member of Berrien Hills Country Club for over 50 years. Fred loved to spend his spare time golfing and playing tennis. He is survived by his wife ‘Bobbe’ of St. Joseph; daughter Nancy Dunbar of St. Joseph and four grandchildren Wallace (Jennifer) Dunbar III, Kathryn Jung, Madeline Jung and Maxwell Jung. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Wendy Jung, son Frederick H. Jung III, and brother Jordon P. Jung.
