Gloria Jean Stelter

Gloria Jean Stelter, 75, of St. Joseph, passed away, Monday, October 14, 2013 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. Celebration of Life Eternal will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 9123 George Ave, Berrien Springs, MI 49103, with Pastor Douglas Adams officiating. Friends may visit with the family Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Berrien Springs. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Berrien Springs. Those wishing to sign Gloria’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starksmenchinger.com. Gloria was born July 18, 1938 at her home in St. Joseph to Lester and Ethel May (Wagner) Zerby. She attended Berrien Springs High School and graduated in 1956. Gloria married Louis Stelter on May 18, 1957 at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Joseph. She cherished staying home to raise their two daughters and took pride in teaching them to sew at a young age. Gloria was a member of Trinity Lutheran church and was a very active member of Ladies Aide. She appreciated the beauty of flowers and enjoyed flower gardening. Gloria is survived by her husband, Louis; daughters, Laura Ward of Yukon, OK and Linda (Kregg) Fritsch of Warren, MI; sister, Sandra (Dale) Myer of Stevensville; brother, Jerold (Sharon) Zerby of Berrien Springs; sister-in-law, Esther (Kenneth) Godfrey of Benton Harbor; three nephews; a niece; and her German Shepherd and loyal friend, Fawn. She was preceded in death by her parents.
