Michael Polaskey

Michael “Mike” Polaskey, 69 of Benton Harbor, MI passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Pebblewood Restaurant & Banquet Hall, 9794 Jericho Rd., Bridgman, MI. Memorials may be made to the Marie Yeager Cancer Center. Those wishing to share a memory of Mike online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Mike was born August 24, 1944 in Benton Harbor, MI. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1963. After a number of successful businesses Mike and his son opened Mike & Son in Benton Harbor. Mike will continue to own and operate his father’s legacy. Mike is survived by his son Michael (Amy) Polaskey of St. Joseph; three daughters Donna Szczepanski of FL, Teresa Whitley of Stevensville, and Shawn (Harry) Smith of Stevensville; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and sister Sally Bridges of Sister Lakes. Mike was preceded in death by his parents and brother Frank Polaskey.
