Cora's Obituary
Cora Esther Collard, 73, of Benton Harbor died Saturday, July 6, 2013 at her home.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. A Celebration of her Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday at the chapel with burial to follow at New Troy Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home. Esther was born on November 17, 1939 to Foster & Eva Mae (Maxson) Post in Niles, Michigan. She married L.J. Collard on February 17, 1945 in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
She enjoyed drawing, gardening and landscaping.
Esther is survived by three sons Gerald Collard, Bruce Collard and David Collard; two daughters Teresa Conkin and Mary Clark; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers Jim Post and Bob Post; four sisters Mary Billington, Naomi Mason, Florence Jones and Sharon.
She was preceded in death by her husband L. J. on July 15, 2006; and five sons Dennis, Tracy, John, Mark and Jeff.
