Ann Mashke

Annie “Ann” Mashke, 98, of St. Joseph, MI, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 1, 2013 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Richard Hennig officiating. Friends may visit from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at Crystal Springs Cemetery in Benton Harbor on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church. Those wishing to share a memory of Ann may do so online at www.starks-menchinger.com. Ann was born April 19, 1915, in Grape Creek, IL to Albert & Bettie (Nelson) James. On August 20, 1938, she married Fred Mashke in Marshall, MI. Ann worked for Ford LaSalle Drug, Martin Hills Golf Course, Rauhoff Studios, and Hallmark Hall of Cards. Ann was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church and the St. Joseph Senior Center. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. Ann is survived by her son Richard (Pamela) Mashke of Chicago, IL; daughter Patricia Schwartz of Flint, MI; three grandchildren Kimberly Mashke, Jon Schwartz and Aimèe Schwartz. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband and eleven brothers and sisters.
