Elsie Skibbe, 99 of Benton Harbor passed away on Friday July 26, 2013 at Caretel Inns in St. Joseph. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 Wednesday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel , 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Graveside service will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday at Millburg Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Calvary Bible Church 3300 Territorial Road, Benton Harbor; where she was a member. Friends wishing to send a condolence may do so at the guestbook at www.starks-menchinger.com. Elsie was born on July 6, 1914, in Coloma, to Ferdinand & Julia (Pinkoske) Bahm. She attended Bainbridge grade school. She married Aldrich Skibbe on October 28, 1933 in South Bend IN.. Her love of life, family and farming/gardening made her a special lady Elsie was a member of the Calvary Bible Church and played the organ at church for many years. She is survived by a daughter Madalyn (Carl) Pagels; a son Ross (Debbie) Skibbe both of Benton Harbor; 4 grandchildren Amanda Sweet, Dean Sweet, Sarah Brookshire, Dustin Skibbe; 5 great grandchildren – Scott Thomas, Adam Thomas, Josephine Brookshire, Sullivan Brookshire, Westin Skibbe; 1 great great grandchild Cooper Thomas. Preceded in death by her husband Aldrich in 1987; a daughter Nancy Skibbe in 1997and three brothers Harold Bahm, Edmund Bahm, Alvin Bahm
