She was born the youngest of five daughters to Lawrence and Marian (Umphrey) Deja of Stevensville, MI on February 17, 1958. She worked at Citizen’s Mediation Services in St. Joseph as a Mediator and was an active member of the St. Joseph-Benton Harbor Elks Club.Rose was a talented creative woman. She loved painting, working with clay and anything she could attack with a glue gun. As talented as she was, she was amazed when her watercolors sold. She loved nothing more than her two grandsons and loved every minute she spent with them. An avid gardener and cook she was planning her summer garden and starting seeds refusing to believe she would not be able to plant them and eat the fresh vegetables she loved. She had every inch of her garden plotted out. Rosemary had a passion for animals and many a stray or unwanted pet came to find love and care with her and Marty until her illness. She could never turn away an animal in need.
She is survived by her four sisters and brothers-in-law, Dolores and Wes Stafford, Elaine and Jack Williams, Margie and Eric Nelson and Chris and Steve Hadley, and her many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her two step-sons Jeremy Glupker and Brandon Glupker, grandsons, Marty Glupker and Thomas Ross and their mother Sarah Ross. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin Glupker and her parents.
