Dolores's Obituary

Dolores Mensinger, 85, formerly of Baroda, went to meet her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday at Zion United Church of Christ, 9100 Church St., Baroda, with Rev. Chris Noffke officiating. Burial will follow at Ruggles Cemetery in Baroda. Friends may call from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. Sunday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Dolores was born October 15, 1927 in Oak Park, Illinois to Victor & Gertrude (Eichmann) Pitlik. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1945. On October 2, 1949, she married Frederick Mensinger, Jr. in St. Joseph. Dolores devoted her life to her husband & children, second only to her love of her Lord Jesus Christ. Dolores was a member of Zion UCC. Dolores & Fred enjoyed following the Chicago Cubs in their earlier years, traveling to many of the other National League parks in the mid-west to see them play. She enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, reading, and listening to music. Dolores is survived by her children-Mary Beth (Neil) Seaward of Flushing, MI, Keith (Elsa) Mensinger of Baroda, Pati (Lou) Burgio of Ft. Mill, SC; six grandchildren-Becky & Julie Seaward, Faith, Dustin & Sarah Mensinger & Amber Foster; one great-grandson Gavin Foster; her sister Gloria (Allan) Wennerberg and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred on September 22, 2012.
