Muriel W. Johnson

Muriel W. Johnson, 85, of Berrien Springs, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 2 2013 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4333 Cleveland Ave., Stevensville, with Rev. Dr. Phillip G. Quardokus officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church. On May 14, 1949 she married Robert Johnson at First Baptist church in St. Joseph, MI. Muriel was a full time homemaker who kept a busy schedule caring for her family. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, needlepoint, baking, and especially camping at the lake with many close friends and family who admired her fishing skills. Muriel is survived by her son Bradley (Sherry) Johnson, of Berrien Springs, MI; grandson, Ben Johnson of Benton Harbor, MI; and granddaughter, Bethany Johnson of Grand Rapids, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her daughter, Linda Kay Mumaugh, her parents, her brothers Warren, Gilbert, Fred and Robert, and her sisters June, Marjorie, Charlene, Shirley, and Mary Lee.
