Thomas Schiffmeyer

Thomas “Tom” Schiffmeyer, 91, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at his home. A Mass Celebrating his life will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 20, 2013 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 555 Delaware, Benton Harbor with Fr. William Jacobs Jr. officiating. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the church. Tom was born December 21, 1921 in Cincinnati, OH to Louis & Lena (Meyer) Schiffmeyer. He served his Country in the United States Army from 1942 until 1945. On May 31, 1947 he married Rose Feldman in Cincinnati, OH. Tom worked for Whiteway in Cincinnati as a spray painter. In his spare time he enjoyed working in his yard and spending time with his family. Tom is survived by his wife Rose Schiffmeyer of St. Joseph; daughter Connie (Joseph) Love-Diaz of St. Joseph; grandsons Christopher (Susan) Finn of Oregon and Daniel (Deborah) Finn of Benton Township; two great grandchildren Mason Finn and Danielle Finn. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
