Patricia Horton

Patricia Horton, 83, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph with her family at her side. A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 404 E. Glenlord Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Noah Headrick officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Patricia was born March 7, 1930 in Benton Harbor, MI to William & Marion (Wise) O’Leary. On August 8, 1947 she married Robert Horton in Benton Harbor, MI. Patricia was a full time homemaker who kept a busy schedule caring for her family. She also worked for Vergot Farms for many years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and was very involved with the Alter Guild and Ladies Guild. She also volunteered at Lakeland Hospital. Patricia was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Patricia is survived by her children Gary (Barbara) Horton of Stevensville, MI, Robert (Gail) Horton of Coloma, MI, Janet (Donald) Bomke of St. Joseph, Chris (Patti) Horton of Suffolk, VA, and Linda (Russell) Ewalt of Berrien Springs, MI; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and brother Eugene O’Leary. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Elaine Cole and brothers John Paine and Richard O’Leary.
