Erna's Obituary
Erna Sinn, 96, Formerly of St. Joseph, MI passed away April 15, 2013 at Genesys Convalescent Center in Grand Blanc, MI.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Scottdale United Methodist Church, 4271 Scottdale Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at Spring Run Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Scottdale United Methodist Church those wishing to share a memory of Erna online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
Erna was born October 4, 1916 in Chicago, IL to Tobias & Katherina (Mitterberger) Plangger. On November 16, 1935 she married Leo Sinn in St. Joseph, MI. Erna was the Resort Owner of Duneview Cottages from 1959 until 2009 in Ludington MI. Erna will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Erna is survived by her son Jack (Ruth) Sinn; grandchildren David (Cindy) Ross, Terry (Dave) Goddard and Susan Smith; great grandchildren Matthew (Andrea) Goddard, Emily (Matt) Lemieux, Noah Goddard, Jordan Smith, Spencer Smith, Thomas (Mariko) Bellinger and Adam Bellinger; and brother Richard Plangger. Erna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Hattie Zebell and Florence Youngblood and brother Arthur Plangger.
