Maryella Lee

Maryella Lee, 86, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Monday, April 1, 2013 at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph. A private burial will be held at Crystal Spring Cemetery in Benton Harbor. Maryella was born March 18, 1927 in Benton Harbor, MI to Willard & Katherine (Ridenour) Teft. She married Colonel Arthur Lee in South Bend, IN in 1951. Maryella was a legal secretary for her husband who practiced law in Benton Harbor for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed playing and listening to the piano, classical music, reading and watching classical movies. Maryella was a member of the Exchange Club in St. Joseph. For 40 years she lived with her loving and devoted sister Millie in St. Joseph. Maryella is survived by her sisters Norma Jean Freier of Barrington, IL and Mildred ‘Millie’ Teft of St. Joseph, MI; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Colonel Arthur Lee in 1973, and her brother Willard Teft.
