George's Obituary
George Carl Beckman, Jr., 95, of St. Joseph, passed away on Saturday,February 16, 2013 at West Woods of Niles Nursing Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 21 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery, Stevensville. Friends may visit from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 20 at the funeral home.

George was born on September 18, 1917 in St. Joseph to George and Anna (Dunse) Beckman, Sr. He married the former Ruth Wells. George enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening and fishing.
He is survived by a son Greg (Bonnie) Beckman, Graun, MI; daughters Betty Reichanadter, Niles, MI, Barbara (Leon, Sr.) Clem, Statesville, North Carolina, and Lynn (William) Lawrence, Livingston, Texas; grandson Thomas Lane, and 16 other grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren; and sister Florence Hill, St. Joseph.
George was preceded in death by his parents; wife Ruth; son Edward Beckman; daughter Sharon McKindley; twin grandsons Matthew and Mark; brothers Fred, Martin, Harry, and Louie; sisters Gladys Hill, Mabel Godush, Margaret Pullins; and son-in-law Larry Reichanadter.
