Corinne Boes

Corinne Boes, 83, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, MI. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 4:00 P.M. Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ, 1200 W. Glenlord Rd., St. Joseph. Friends may visit from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Sunday at the church. Corinne was born August 12, 1929 in Holland, MI to Gerhard & Iola (Trevan) Cornelissen. She graduated from Holland High School in 1947. On April 15, 1950 she married Lloyd Boes in Zeeland, MI. Lloyd was the long-time owner of Boes TV. Lloyd and Corinne resided in Zeeland for many years. Corinne was a full time homemaker who kept a busy schedule caring for her family. She was a member of the Gun Lake Tribe Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish, Band of the Pottawatomi Indians. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and was very proud of her Native American Heritage. Corinne is survived by her son Jeff (Paula) Boes of St. Joseph, MI; daughter Brenda (Richard) Jones of Gulf Shores, AL; four grandchildren Adam & Nathan Boes and Katie and Jade Jones; two brothers Warren Cornelissen and Michael (Hilde) Cornelissen; Corinne was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers Gerhard Jr., Gordon, Leslie, and Perry Cornelissen.
