Denise's Obituary

Denise (Clark) Eidam, 57, of St. Joseph, passed away, Friday, March 8, 2013 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 14, 2013 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 555 E. Delaware, Benton Harbor with Fr. William J. Jacobs, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Benton Harbor. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Liturgical Prayers recited at 7:45 P.M. Memorials may be made to The Catholic Community Center, Berrien County Cancer Service, or The Humane Society of Southwest Michigan. Those wishing to sign Denise’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starksmenchinger.com. Denise was born July 1, 1955 in Benton Harbor to Jay & Barbara (Ober) Clark. She attended St. John’s Catholic School and graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1973, where she was a contestant for Miss Benton Harbor the same year. Denise was employed at Whirlpool Corporation since 1990 as a Customer Relations Representative. She was a member of St. John-St. Bernard Parish in Benton Harbor. She had a fondness for all animals and enjoyed tending to the horses at a nearby farm. She cherished the time spent with her family and friends, especially her grandson Jaylen, the light of her life. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Denise is survived by her son Jason Eidam of St. Joseph; her grandson Jaylen Eidam; her mother Barbara Clark of Benton Harbor; her brother David (Debby) Clark of St. Joseph; her sisters-Debbie(Timm) Culby of Benton Harbor, Deanna Lowery of Stevensville, Donna (Michael) Vishoot of Mt. Prospect, IL; several nieces & nephews; and two long time friends Lynn Sommer and Sharon Siefken. She was preceded in death by her father Jay Clark on April 27, 2003.
