Robert F. Tahaney

Robert F. Tahaney, 74, of St. Joseph, died Monday, February 25, 2013 in Zephyrhills, FL. A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 11 A.M Monday at Grace Lutheran Church, 404 E. Glenlord Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor Noah Headrick officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 P.M., Sunday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd, St. Joseph. Robert was born August 3, 1938, in St. Joseph, MI, to Franklin & Elvena (Schuhknecht) Tahaney. He married Judith (Warren) Tahaney at Grace Lutheran Church on April 30, 1960. Robert retried from Whirlpool after 27 years. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in St. Joseph, and attended Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Zephyrhills, FL. Robert spent many years coaching baseball with the North Lincoln baseball league. He enjoyed playing cards and fishing. Robert was an avid Notre Dame sports fan. He was proud of his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Judith Tahaney, his four children, Robert (Michelle) Tahaney of Watervliet MI; Timothy (Anne) Tahaney of East Lansing, MI; Tracy (Michael) Rock of Benton Harbor, MI; Kelly (Jeffrey) Watson, of Moorsville, NC; twelve grandchildren; Kayla, Dylan, and Daniel Watson; Rachel Jewell; Samantha, Melanie, and Brendan Rock; Madison, Travis and Jake Tahaney; Joshua & Hannah Tahaney. Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
