Rosetta Stivers Barlow, 80, of St. Joseph, MI passed away in the early morning hours of February 22, 2013, with family at her side. Though a resident of St. Joseph, Michigan, services for Rosetta are being held in her hometown of Paris, Kentucky where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Billy Barlow. Visitation is Friday, March 1st, 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Hinton – Turner Funeral Home, 526 Pleasant St., Paris, KY 40361. The Funeral Service is Saturday, March 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. at Paris United Methodist Church, followed by her internment at the Paris Cemetery. The family asks that consideration of memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. Local arrangements entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, St. Joseph. Rosetta was born June 26, 1932, in Millersburg, Kentucky and graduated from Bourbon County High School in 1950. She and Billy Barlow were married in Paris, Kentucky on September 18, 1952. Rosetta and Billy had a wonderful life together. After starting their family in Paris, they and their three children lived in Europe and later in Arizona. With their children grown they returned to Kentucky until Billy was killed in a traffic accident in 1989. Rosetta moved to St. Joseph, Michigan to be closer to her son and youngest grandchildren. She is known to her seven grandchildren as Mimi, the name that identified her favorite role as the grandmother they all knew and loved. Her greatest achievement is evidenced by the successful lives of her children and grandchildren. The foundation and love she provided continues to guide their lives. Rosetta is survived by her son Glenn Barlow of Plano, Texas, his wife Leslie with grandsons Kyle and Jason; her daughter Teresa Vogel of Tiffin, Ohio, her husband Eddie with granddaughters Kasey and Kendra; and son Cliff Barlow of St. Joseph, Michigan, his wife Sara with grandchildren Ryan, Leah, and Andy.
