Eva Boomer

Eva Boomer, 90, of Benton Harbor, passed away, Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 11:30 A.M. Friday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Friends may call from 10:30 until 11:30 A.M. Friday at the funeral home. She married Lawrence Boomer on May 15, 1936. Eva devoted her life to caring for her family. She was a member of Grace Cathedral Church in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and enjoyed going to garage sales, buying, collecting & fixing watches, and baking for her family & friends. Eva is survived by her children-Charles boomer of Coloma, Jerry (Sandy) Boomer of St. Joseph, Deloris Pumfery of Benton Harbor; twenty grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; her sister Jean Walker of Mission, British Columbia; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence in 1990, her son Lawrence “Larry”, her daughter Doris Carter, a brother & sister, and her son-in-law Larry Pumfery on October 5, 2012.
