Verna M. Thomas of Watervliet, MI formerly of South Bend, IN passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at her home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at First Assembly of God, 3084 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit form 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Monday, February 4, 2013 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to First Assembly of God. Verna was born April 23, 1921 in Eau Claire, MI to Adolph & Lena Helen Fryer. On August 3, 1946 she married Fredrick Thomas in Benton Harbor, MI. Verna was a small business owner of a Jewelry Store for many years.
Verna is survived by her niece Peggy (Joe) Frontczak of Watervliet, MI; brother Eldon (Marilyn) Fryer of Eau Claire, MI; sister Pricilla Scott of St. Joseph; Verna was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
