Lena Cesaroni

Lena M. Cesaroni, 94, of Stevensville, passed away Thursday, January 3rd, 2013 at The Caretel Inn Bristol House in St. Joseph surrounded by her loved ones. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, January 8th, 2013, at Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Rev. Joan Olson of Saron Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Friends may call from 10A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Siskin Ecological Adventures. Those wishing to share an online memory may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Lena was born on September 4th, 1918 to Cesare and Clementina (Tommasi) Cavalini in Chicago, Illinois. At age three she moved to Italy were she was educated and learned her incredible seamstress skills that served her so well through our her life. She met and fell in love with William Cesaroni and they married in Chicago on September 21st, 1940 and were together until William passed in 2007. Lena was a loving Mother raising her son Bill and daughter Clem, with much love and support. She was a stay at home mother and seamstress extraordinaire, never missing a sporting or school event. She was a 4-H leader for young women, teaching her amazing skills with sewing, knitting and decorating. She loved to read, create decorations, knit, and her Florida winter stays with the love of her life, William. Lena is survived by her daughter Clementine (Dennis) Brueck of St. Joseph; her son William (Jessie) Cesaroni, Glenview, IL; grandchildren Jason (Annie) Brueck, Nicole (Victor) Coar, Dr. Jacqueline Cesaroni; great grandchildren Corbin, Cooper and Sabine Brueck, Ilo and Elias Coar. Lena was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Paola, Joseph, Michael and Fernando Cavalini and son in law Dennis Brueck.
