Dorothy Ellen Strohl

Dorothy Ellen Strohl, 85, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 16th, 2013 and went to be with her Lord Jesus. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 6:30 P.M., Friday, January 25th, at Stevensville United Methodist Church, 5506 Ridge Rd. A private service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy, Michigan. Visitation is from 5:00 P.M. until 6:30 P.M. at the church. Memorials may be made to the Stevensville United Methodist Church. She was an extraordinary Mother who was dedicated to her boys and her faith. She was always full of life and cared for her Donald through his special time on earth. As a social worker for 20 years at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, her compassion was obvious to everyone she met. Dorothy was very active at Stevensville United Methodist Church from the puppet ministry to her constant volunteering; she was a role model of faith. Her Pecan Pie will always be remembered, like her smiling face at the church’s booth at the Berrien County Youth Fair. Dorothy is survived by her son, Niles (Susan) Strohl, of Henderson, NV, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, and sister, Dale Thompson. She is preceded in death by her parents. She will be missed dearly by her friends at Stevensville United Methodist Church.
