Harold's Obituary
Harold C. Foll, 95, of St. Joseph, went to meet his Lord & Savior, Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 11:30 A.M. Saturday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Franz Brandenburg officiating. Entombment will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma, with Military Rites conducted by North Berrien Military Rites Team. Friends may call from 10:30 until 11:30 A.M. Harold was born February 26, 1917 in St. Joseph to Charles & Minnie (Bertog) Foll. He graduated from St. Joseph High School, Class of 1935. He served his country during WWII in the US Army, receiving the Bronze Star for his efforts. On January 10, 1948, he married the former Dorothy Heppler in St. Joseph, his wife for the next sixty-one years. Harold was employed for twenty-five plus years at Whirlpool St. Joseph Division, retiring in 1976 as Plant Manager/Superintendent. He was a member of the Whirlpool Management Club, Stevensville American Legion Post #568, St. Joseph-Benton Harbor Elks #541 and St. Peter’s Church. Harold enjoyed bowling in the Elks League, golfing, traveling the country, listening to Gaither’s Gospel music, and dancing.
Harold is survived by his daughters-Autumn (Peter) Chamberlain of Windemere, FL, Carla (Arnie) Palanca of Kalamazoo; seven grandchildren-Mary, Chuck (Laurie), Lisa, Perry (Rochelle) Abby (Rich), Lauren (Fiance’ Brad) & Matthew; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a niece Holly Kelsey of Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy on April 5, 2009, and his sister and brother-in-law Evelyn & Elmer Blondell.
