James was born December 22, 1940 in Amburgey, Kentucky to Carl and Sara (Fields) Mullins. He graduated from Carr Creek High School and was honored to serve his country from 1959 to 1962 in The United States Army. James met his soul mate and married Vivion Jeannette Ritchie in Amburgey, KY July 28, 1962. Always the rock and provider for Vivion, Tami and Carl his love for them was never overshadowed by anything else. He was an amazing Father who was selfless to a fault. As a caretaker to hundreds of families, James loved being a servant for God. A natural born bird watcher, James was a proud member of Sarett Nature Center, Nature Conservancy, The Sierra Club, The National Audubon Society and The American Legion. James was a gift to everyone he met and will be missed by so many.
