Julius's Obituary
Julius Szabo, 90, of Stevensville, passed away on Monday December 17, 2012, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Eternal will be at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Father Jim Morris officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Lincoln Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Lakeshore High School Band, Stevensville, MI. Julius was born November 9, 1922 in South Bend, IN to Joseph & Rose (Kandli) Szabo. On June 21, 1947, he married Margaret (Habis) in South Bend, IN. Julius was a service worker for I&M Electric for 29 years and retired in 1986.He enjoyed dancing both the polka and ballroom dancing. Julius served in the U.S Air Force during WWII. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loving wife. Julius will be dearly missed by his family.
Julius is survived by his wife, his two children, Ron (Anna) Szabo of Stevensville, MI; and Sheri (Steve) Hunding, of St. Joseph, MI; one grandson, Michael (Ashley) Zeller of St. Joseph, MI; one step grandson,Nikolay Bagaev of Stevensville, MI; a sister, Ethel Kiemnec of Toledo, OH; a brother, John (Lillian) Szabo, of Paulys Island, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and second mother Theresa Szabo, along with several brothers and sisters.
