Venea McKinney

Venea D. McKinney, 56, of Watervilet, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:30 P.M Friday, December 28, 2012 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Terry Schneider officiating. Friends may visit from 1:00 P.M until 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Crippled Children’s Foundation. Those wishing to share a memory of Venea may do so online at www.starks-menchinger.com Venea was born February 28, 1956 in St. Joseph, MI to Voyde “Mac” and Mary Beth (Aiken) McKinney. She enjoyed many things including all types of music, swimming, chocolate, ice cream, Christmas bows and especially enjoyed going on outings with her family. She was a resident of Juniper Home for 25 years. Venea was an innocent heart and was always happy. She taught everyone who knew her about what true unconditional love is. Venea is survived by her father Mac Mckinney of Benton Harbor; sisters Vanessa Park of Baroda, Lorrie McKinney of Benton Harbor, Audra McKinney of Decatur and Michele Siriano of Zeeland, MI. She is preceded by her mother Mary Beth McKinney.
