Ruth J. Grimm

Ruth J. Grimm, 90, of Stevensville, passed away Friday, November 2, 2012, at Royalton Manor, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 11:30 A.M., Monday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel 2650 Niles Ave., St. Joseph, with Pastor Gordon Barry officiating. On May 9, 1953, she married Ernest Grimm, Jr. in Detroit, Mich. Ruth was secretary to the principal at Alcona Community Schools in Harrisville, Mich. for several years. She loved spending time in the great outdoors hunting, fishing, camping, and walking in the woods. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her husband, family, and friends. Ruth is survived by her devoted and loving husband, her two daughters, Karen Ruth (Jon) Sleder of Stevensville; Lisa Grimm of Grand Haven; three grandchildren, Amanda Sleder, Brianne (Thomas) Buckleitner, and Scott Sleder; one great grandchild, Levi Buckleitner; a sister-in-law, Gloria Stalla of Livonia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Betty Casaceli, and granddaughter Megan Ruth Sleder in 1984.
